Easter 2010
April 4th, 2010Easter this year was lots of fun, Lachie really got into the idea of hunting around for eggs and got wayyyy to many.
We then headed down to Grandpa’s place for a BBQ lunch, and more egg hunting.

Share on FacebookLachie is starting to really be a little man now. Anytime anything happens he wants to know what it is, and anytime anything is happening he wants to be involved. So much so that he just had to come outside and help mow the lawns.
With all the rain we have been getting in between all the sunshine, our grass is growing to jungle proportions. So sometimes it really does help to have a second set of hands, and muscles, to get the mower through the lawns.
Share on FacebookAn eagle eyed mum found out that Thomas was going to be joining his mates up at Belgrave to haul some loads with Puffing Billy, so what better than to head up and spend a day with some magnificant pieces of machinery.
We gathered up the crew, and after a night before the day of the trains, loaded up the cars and head up into the hills. All the kids loved seeing Thomas and his friends, and the trip on Puffing Billy (while too short) was a great time for them all.
Some of my favourite photos of Lachie were taken this day, with him just hanging out the side of the train watching the world whiz by.
Share on FacebookWith the notice that Lachie is going to be a big brother, we thought it was time that he upgraded his room and moved up into a big boy bed.
I’m posting this a couple of months late, so can report that he loves his bed, and really enjoys each night curling up in it with all the teddys while Mum or Dad read him some books. The only problem now is that he wants “More” and “More” books..
Share on FacebookThe Purcells put on great weather for a day at the Zoo the celebrate Harrison’s Birthday. Mum was unable to come with us as he had to work on Saturday, but the boys packed up the car and headed over to the Zoo.
Lachie is at a good age now to go exploring all the animals, but we sort of got caught up at the party so much that when it was time to head off to check out the sights and sounds of the zoo the little man was too tired to really enjoy it. We did get in a lap of most of the big animals, but I’m not sure how much Lachie got to see.
As usual it was a great day, and all the kids had a ball.
Share on FacebookLachie’s 2nd birthday party was at home on the 6th of September.
A great turn out of family and friends had a big BBQ in the back yard, while lots of presents were being un-wrapped inside.
Lachie has is now really understanding the whole present thing, and evertime someone new turned up, he ran up to them and grabbed the present. He would then turn tail and try and fine somewhere to sit down to tear it open, but lucklily mum or dad were on hand to direct him back to the new arrivals to ensure that he gave them a cuddle and thanked them for their gift before shredding the wrapping paper.
Share on FacebookI know it’s christmas when I’m posting this, but eventually I have got back to update the website. I’ll try and get as many updates and photos up this arvo while the little man sleeps.
These are some photos from his 2nd birthday.
Share on FacebookThe world has turned again and its that time of the year again when we get to Birthday season. How can it be 2 years since Lachie was born? It only feels like yesterday we were bringing him home.
So I decided to sit down and look through some old photos, just to see how far he’s grown in 2 years. And there were so many great photos that I decided to put together this little video.
It was going to be the entire 2 years, but that ended up being way too many photos so I broke it down into a year at a time.
I’ll get some photos of his birthday up tonght, we went to the play center and onto the big slide, he loves his new car, and really got into the birthday cake.
Share on FacebookIf you’ve been in our house in the last few weeks you would have heard the new catch cry of the natives. It goes something like kar, and sounds a bit like a crow.
And did you know how many places you can see these things. All manner of TV shows, books and even the real world have these items, which all hold the little man’s attention until the next one comes around the corner.
He’s just loving the matchbox ones, and the cool little tower where they all go wee down the slides.
He’ll now grab anyone that he can get his hands on and drag you by the finger saying Kar, Kar…
Fun times…
Share on FacebookSince going into child care a couple of weeks ago, the little man has had a flu on and off since. How dare those little germ factories infect my son. But throughout it all he has been a trooper.
He did wake up at night a few times when his nose was blocked, but most of the time he was himself, still happy without a care in the world.
But with us soon heading up north, we were worried that the flu had moved into his ears making a plane flight out of the question, but a quick trip to the docs gave us the all clear, and it seems that the Nose has finally stopped running just in time for the holiday.
