We organised a family holiday away with lots of our friends.  A great turnout saw us away to Lakes Entrance with 12 adults and 3 children.  The trip was not as long as we thought it might be, with a stop in Sale for lunch and then again just down the road to meet with the Purcells our only breaks.

We stayed at Echo Beach caravan park, which is just off the main road on RoadKnight street.  Steve and Sharkey too their bikes down for some exercise and the mad fireman decided running was easier for him.

We had 4 nights down there, heading down Thursday morning and heading back Monday.

The first families down there were the Us and the Purcell’s. We met up on the way down just outside of Sale and had lunch and cruzed down the rest of the trip together.  Later that night saw the Chaffe’s, Zammit’s and Sharkey’s join us, with Katy and Brett staying in Melbourne Thursday night to finish work on their rental property.

In all it was a great weekend away, all the Kids were well behaved, and the adults, well some of them were better behaved than others.  I think the plan for next year is to head down the great ocean road way for another group adventure.

There’s a whole vault of photos being saved for his 21st… This one is the cleanest we could find.

We went down to Grandpa’s today to have lunch and then head down to the beach, but with the weather getting over 35 degrees it was a better idea to stay inside where its cool.

Really, it was hot!

So Dad has been slack for the last month and not put up any photos.

Well today changed that.  To keep the site consistent I put the photos up on the day they were taken so that you can see his progression through time.

OMG he has a heap of hair now, loves to be standing and is really experimenting with his voice.  I’ll try and capture some of his more vocal outbursts on video to put here, but its so much fun watching it that I forget to record it.  I guess I’m no Steve Spielberg.

Well seeing as there is no 30th of February, the 1st of March will have to do as his 6 month birthday, and whats better than a visit from Uncle Mark and Aunty Leonie.

No progress updates as of yet, he had his 6 month injections the other day, and is starting solids this weekend.  He’s not due for another weigh in until late March, so his 7 month update will have more on his physical progress.

The pediatrician is really happy with him, he says that all the little things with his development have caught up, and he’s now doing all the things that a real 6 month’r should be doing.  So bug ups to Lachie, and we all expect him to continue his development at a rapid rate.

He’s not sitting or standing (derh) at the moment.  But he does love to stand.  Just help him up a little bit and he pushes up, locks his legs just to see whats going on around him. (Photo proof below)
