Mad about Cars

Friday, June 26th, 2009

If you’ve been in our house in the last few weeks you would have heard the new catch cry of the natives.  It goes something like kar, and sounds a bit like a crow.

And did you know how many places you can see these things.  All manner of TV shows, books and even the real world have these items, which all hold the little man’s attention until the next one comes around the corner.

He’s just loving the matchbox ones, and the cool little tower where they all go wee down the slides.

He’ll now grab anyone that he can get his hands on and drag you by the finger saying Kar, Kar…

Fun times…

Nose and Chest and Cold, Oh my

Thursday, June 4th, 2009

Since going into child care a couple of weeks ago, the little man has had a flu on and off since.  How dare those little germ factories infect my son.  But throughout it all he has been a trooper.

He did wake up at night a few times when his nose was blocked, but most of the time he was himself, still happy without a care in the world.

But with us soon heading up north, we were worried that the flu had moved into his ears making a plane flight out of the question, but a quick trip to the docs gave us the all clear, and it seems that the Nose has finally stopped running just in time for the holiday.

Pink Nanna visit

Wednesday, June 3rd, 2009

Over the weekend we had nanna down for a visit, but it wasn’t really us she was visiting, it was a little girl called Pink.  Mum, Auntie Kim and Nanna got all Pinked up and headed of to Melbourne Park on sunday night to Pink’s latest show, Funhouse.

It was a very boy weekend, with the whole painter debacle on Saturday and the girls out on Sunday night the boys got to spend a great amount of time together.

Out and about

Tuesday, June 2nd, 2009

Its been a while since the last update, so I thought I’d try and get a bit more regular by posting shorter updates but more often.  I can usually find something to twitter about once or twice a week, and the little man is doing much more than that so it should be much easier.

We’ve have a good few last weeks.  Mum has been working each Saturday which gives us time for a boys day where we laze around have brekky then work out where or who we are going to see.  We’ve been out to see Melissa, Jake and Brad.  Got to the footy a couple of times to watch Uncle Mark, even made it down to see the Bahrs one day.

Saturdays are a fun time, if its not wandering around the shops at Knox, or visiting people we get to play with the toys or even the puppies if the weather is good to us.
